Slab Breaking
Slab breaking is the targeted demolition of individual RCC slabs — a terrace slab that leaks beyond repair, an unauthorised loft under BMC notice, a mezzanine that has to go for height clearance, or a cracked slab being recast during structural repair. The rest of the structure stays; the slab goes.
The method depends on what surrounds the slab. In a standalone or vacated structure, hydraulic and pneumatic breakers make fast work of it. Where the building is occupied or the slab connects to members that stay, we switch to a hybrid approach: saw-cut the perimeter to isolate the slab from beams, then break the isolated panel — so cracks never travel into structure you are keeping.
Every slab job includes rebar cropping, debris bagging or chute removal, and disposal. We do not break a slab and leave you a mountain of rubble — the site is handed back clear.
